Pets at Manor Farm
We welcome pets at Manor Farm. Usually guests bring dogs but we have also had guests bring cats too. All are welcome. We’ve had huge dogs and tiny dogs. And all sizes in between.
Each cottage here at Manor Farm has a dog bed and dog bowl. We also provide a spare lead in each case you’ve forgotten your own.
We have a wide variety of paddocks in which you can walk your dogs on the property and, of course, we have direct access onto two public rights-of-way which take you up onto a whole network of bridleways and footpaths leading for miles across open country.
We are very lucky to have a number of dog-friendly pubs around us, at least one within walking distance. There are also some National Trust properties close by (one within walking distance) with large parkland areas in which to roam.
We provide a small welcome gift of dog-treats if we know you are bringing dogs.
Our only rules are that we don’t allow dogs on the furniture, especially the beds, and we expect guests to be able to control their dogs. We often have sheep in our paddocks, we have geese and chickens here, and there are wild birds and game birds in abundance. We therefore expect our guests to walk their dogs with due consideration to others who work in and enjoy the countryside.
